I tried to dry acetone with magnesium sulphate, first time in my life. I didn't have such problem before as I always bought 99.9 from lab store. Now there is a shortage, so I tried to do it myself: dry it with magnesium sulphate 15 gr of magnesium per 1L of acetone (I supposed it is 98,5% purity).
Just to check the properties, I left 10 gr of mdma hcl in 100 ml of MY acetone at RT, thrown for a while and left in the freezer for 30 hours.
As the result, yeld is 9.5 gr.
0.5 gr lost in acetone.
Is it normal result. Or I need to dry it more?
